Inktober 2025
The project: complete all 31 drawings for the annual art challenge, Inktober. This event includes 31 one word prompts that are meant to act as the inspiration for each piece.
2025 was the second year I took on Inktober. The initial phases of planning were much the same as 2024 where I did the first round of brainstorming on sticky notes and refined/inked them digitally. Frogward stayed on as the main character and was given a little friend this time, Polliwog. Since the prompts were more random than the previous year, I went with the theme of wizards and magic with Frogward as the Master Wizard and Polli as his apprentice. This storyline allowed me to treat each prompt like a learning moment from Polli’s point of view. To match the new theme, my style was clean and focused more on balancing the negative and positive space of each piece.
I completed all 31 drawings before the end of October and got them printed in a book for my collection.
Each piece is accompanied by the prompt and the caption I added when posting to social media.
